Who We Are

On The Move Chiropractic is a fully functional mobile Chiropractic office that was created to serve the workforce. As an associate Chiropractor, Dr. Allan Petrilak found it to be extremely frustrating in that the patients who were in the most pain not only had to miss work to get to the office, but also had to drive and wait in traffic to do so. This kept the patient in a state of procrastination when it came to getting the type of care that they needed. As a result, the symptoms would escalate. This became taxing on the patient, their employer and often times their families. In August of 2020 thoughts went into action and On The Move Chiropractic was born. On The Move Chiropractic specializes in both acute and chronic conditions with at home, as well as, at work treatment options.

Why Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a conservative approach to healthcare that looks at the body as a whole. Though many patients will present with symptoms; a patient does not need to be symptomatic to achieve great results through routine care. An adjustment is always made to a hypo-mobile/dysfunctional joint which is determined upon examination by the Doctor. Many times joint dysfunctions are present well before symptoms even begin. Muscle imbalances may also be determined at the time of examination in which a combination of inhibiting overactive (shortened) muscles, strengthening under-active (lengthened) muscles and nervous system integration may be prescribed.

Your spinal column, made up of 24 independent vertebrae, is what allows your body to move, twist, and bend through every motion of your busy day. It also encases and helps protect the delicate spinal cord and nerve roots that control and coordinate every muscle, tissue and organ of the body. This is why we believe the first step to an active lifestyle is a properly functioning spine.

When two or more vertebrae aren't functioning together properly, it is what many chiropractors refer to as a subluxation or a misalignment. These subluxations are actually joint dysfunctions that can cause you to experience pain, discomfort, decreased mobility, or many other symptoms and conditions. Joint dysfunctions often go unnoticed and can cause miscommunication between your brain and body.

Joint Dysfunctions in the spine may eventually lead to symptoms in other parts or joints of the body as well. When a joint is hypo-mobile, your body will pull mobility from other areas causing compensations through faulty movement patterns. Over time as symptoms present, they are the only way of letting you know something is wrong. Unfortunately, the absence of pain is not an indication of health. By the time pain and symptoms appear the problem may have been present for months, even years. The great news is that you can help prevent these types of symptoms and conditions with routine chiropractic care.

Doctor Bio:

Dr. Allan Petrilak, DC, CES is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic, a recognized corrective exercise specialist certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a certified Medical Examiner by the FMCSA, the team Chiropractor for The Orlando Predators and their dance team for the 2021-2023 seasons, a member of The Professional Hockey Chiropractic Society and the team Chiropractor of The Orlando Solar Bears (2021-current). Originally from South Florida, Dr. Petrilak graduated college from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. After graduation Dr. Petrilak took a job as a sales-rep for a pharmaceutical company. During this time it became clear that the abuse of prescription drugs being prescribed to patients with simple aches and pains was not something that he wanted to be a part of. After shadowing a few professions, Dr. Petrilak fell in love with Chiropractic because it fell directly in line with his core beliefs. A little over four years later, as a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, FL he put his education to work. “With experience taking jobs that worked exclusively in personal injury in Orlando, working with medicare patients in The Villages, FL and finally coming back to Orlando to work strictly with athletes and wellness patients, I feel like I have reached a unique experience level allowing me to treat any patient that I come across effectively” -Dr. Allan Petrilak, DC, CES
